Between lotions, creams, makeup, and shower products, you could be putting dozens of man-made toxins and less than ideal ingredients and preservatives on your skin every day. These compounds can invade your body and leave dangerous side effects behind.
Using beauty, hair, and skincare products made of organically grown plant derived ingredients along with some other naturally occurring ingredients can revolutionize your skin and improve your health and the environment. The ingredients in organic skincare are grown without the use of pesticides, herbicides, synthetic fertilizers, and GMOs (genetically modified organisms). The integrity of these unadulterated, organic ingredients is maintained in the best way possible from growing throughout the process to bottling with little to no additives, chemicals, or diluents.

What is an essential oil?
Essential oils are the fragrant, highly concentrated natural compounds that are found in the secretory structures of plant parts and distilled (most frequently by steam or water) from the leaves, stems, flowers, bark, roots, or other parts of a plant. Contrary to the use of the word “oil,” while hydrophobic, essential oils are not really oily-feeling; also known as volatile oils, ethereal oils, or aetherolea, they contain the volatile aromatic compounds from the part of the plant from which they were extracted. Essential oils possess a wide range of healing properties due to various combinations of their unique chemical compounds and can be used effectively to help keep you in the best of health as well as looking good. These benefits include improving the complexion of your skin by stimulating cellular health, easing inflammation, and fighting bacteria, fungi, and other kinds of invaders. Essential oils have an almost endless list of uses, and science continues to discover more all the time.
What is a carrier oil?
Carrier oils are derived from the fatty portion of a plant, usually from the seeds, kernels, or nuts. Due to their emollient, fatty nature, carrier oils are used to dilute essential oils and other ingredients prior to topical application. The term “carrier oil” refers to their purpose in aromatherapy – carrying essential oils onto the skin. If applied to the skin undiluted, essential oils, absolutes, CO2s and other concentrated aromatic oils can cause severe irritation. Carrier oils help neutralize the sensitivity which can result from the more volatile compounds in essential oils.
The term carrier oil is generally used within the practice of aromatherapy. In natural skincare, carrier oils are typically referred to as vegetable oils, fixed oils, or base oils.
What is a hydrosol?
The word “hydrosol” derives from the Latin hydro meaning “water,” and -sol an abbreviation of solvere, meaning to “dissolve.” Hydrosols are also known as hydrolates, hydrolats, floral waters, and plant waters. They are the aqueous product of distillation and carry the hydrophilic properties (water-soluble components) of the plant in solution as well as microscopic droplets of the aromatic liquid that remains after steam-distilling or hydro-distilling botanical material.
These three types of plant products form the base of each of our pure, organic skincare products.
